Sentient Solutions is a rapidly expanding accounting outsourcing firm with clients across the United States. Our team of experts based in the US, India, and Mexico offers customized solutions to meet the specific business needs of CPA firms.
Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year
About the Role:
This position involves working independently with clients on end-to-end bookkeeping, month-end processing, and financial reporting. The goal is to meet or exceed client expectations while assisting staff and seniors in identifying and solving complex business issues from conception to execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in QBO, QBD, BDC, SAGE Intacct, Microsoft Office 365 Suite, and related software tools. Familiarity with FloQast, Engagement, Advance Flow, and other reconciliation tools.
- Select, onboard, train, and build a high-performing team that excels in CAS work. Foster positive relationships with teams and clients to meet or exceed expectations.
- Lead the team in consistently completing all bookkeeping activities, including complex tasks, analytical tasks, and reporting tasks without technical corrections from clients.
- Learn and understand client workflows, accounting practices, and preferences. Train engagement teams on these areas and research new methods to solve client issues.
- Take the lead in training staff on proper workpapers techniques and documentation. Address specific client issues due to quality concerns.
- Stay current with new technical developments affecting client assignments. Assist with training staff and obtain certifications as needed.
- Address issues preventing the team from working effectively.
- Focus on quality by addressing sub-standard work or work not meeting firm/client expectations.
- Manage multiple client projects and meet deadlines.
Requirements:
- 8-12 years of experience in US Accounting or equivalent. 3 years of articleship completed and 5-8 years of US Accounting Experience.
- Previous experience managing a team of 3-4 members.
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
- Coach others, recognize their strengths, and encourage personal development.
- Understanding of industry-specific accounting regulations and compliance requirements.
- Analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
