Job Summary

The Director of Product Management at TIAA is a strategic leadership role responsible for guiding the product management team in developing and launching products that meet market needs and align with the company's strategic goals. This role involves creating and implementing product strategies, conducting market research, and defining product roadmaps. The Director collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, manages the entire product lifecycle, and ensures customer feedback is integrated into product development. Additionally, this role entails mentoring and developing the product management team, fostering a culture of innovation, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Define the product vision and create detailed product roadmaps.
  • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from ideation to launch.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to deliver high-quality products.
  • Prioritize product features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on market needs and customer feedback.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing product management team.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear goals and expectations, and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in product management.
  • At least 7 years in a senior leadership role, overseeing large product portfolios and managing product teams.
  • Extensive experience in developing and executing product strategies that drive business growth.
  • Proven ability to lead product development from ideation to launch in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to monitor product profitability and make data-driven financial decisions.
  • Proficiency in product management tools and software.
  • Understanding of relevant technologies and industry standards.
