At Société Générale Assurances, we are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technology department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems using PySpark and ETL concepts.

Salary: ₹2,500,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Data Engineer who can work independently and collaboratively as part of our cross-functional team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, experience with cloud-based technologies, and excellent problem-solving skills.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems using PySpark and ETL concepts.
  • Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to understand business requirements and develop data pipelines.
  • Ensuring data quality, integrity, and security by implementing best practices and standards.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation for data processes and systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on PySpark and ETL concepts.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies, including Azure cloud experience (Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Store).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Good analytical and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
