About the Role
  • We're seeking an experienced Senior Software Architect (7-10 years of experience) to lead the design and development of innovative solutions. This role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across the globe to deliver high-quality, scalable software products that meet user needs.
  • This position sits within the Media Team, part of the Advertising portfolio. The Media team helps consumers navigate their property journey by connecting them with various products and services. This includes finance products, utilities, home services, furnishings, automotive, and other innovative advertising tools.
  • The Senior Software Architect plays a key strategic role in the business, focusing on delivering thought leadership in software technologies, designing cutting-edge solutions, and helping teams leverage these advancements to produce world-class software products.
  • You'll work on impactful projects that drive customer satisfaction and company growth. You'll collaborate with talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Thought leadership in developing software solutions for buying ads, selling ads, and sharing data with advertising clients.
  • Designing, testing, and documenting code according to REA Engineering standards and practices.
  • Leading or contributing significantly to initiatives with strategic focus and value.
  • Solving deep, complex technical problems to enable other team members to learn and extend.
  • Supporting the Engineering Manager/Tech Lead in setting the technical direction.
  • Providing technical mentoring and guidance to less experienced team members.
  • Driving continuous improvement of production systems and advocating for overall system health.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to design high-quality solutions meeting user needs.
  • Becoming a subject matter expert for Products and related systems owned by the Media team.
Requirements
  • Advanced skills in designing scalable software solutions for millions of users.
  • Expertise in developing long-term system architecture strategies.
  • Experience in building full-stack web products using open-source and cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and database management using RDBMS or MySQL.
  • Data analysis skills using SQL/Tableau/Google BigQuery.
  • Knowledge of modern software development techniques (functional programming, microservices, test-driven development, CI/CD).
  • Effective communication and collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Able to understand business, customer, and consumer needs to provide appropriate data solutions.
  • Mentorship skills in a collaborative agile team environment.
  • Passion for data and the latest data technologies.
  • Desirable experience in Media/AdTech industry – bidding solutions, DSPs, SSPs, tag management, CDPs, targeting, and creative setup used in media campaigns.
