Head of Operations - Projects (Civil & Carpentry)

At Quarry Luxury Stones Private Limited, we are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our operations team as the Head of Operations - Projects (Civil & Carpentry). This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of Projects vertical, including civil and carpentry operations, to ensure timely delivery, quality, and profitability.
  • Develop and implement operational processes and workflows to optimize efficiency and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage procurement of materials, inventory control, and vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the civil and carpentry teams to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Provide direction and oversight to ensure all team members understand their roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
  • Ensure the team is properly trained, equipped, and motivated to meet the company's high standards of craftsmanship and customer service.

P&L Accountability:

  • Own the Profit and Loss (P&L) for the civil and carpentry operations, ensuring financial performance aligns with company goals.
  • Monitor operational costs and implement strategies to optimize profitability while maintaining product and service quality.
  • Work closely with the finance team to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.

Client Management:

  • Serve as the key point of contact for clients during the project lifecycle, ensuring their expectations are managed and met.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and design teams to align operational efforts with client requirements and sales goals.
  • Ensure all client queries, concerns, and feedback are addressed promptly, and client satisfaction is consistently achieved.

Project Delivery:

  • Oversee the end-to-end project management across all projects, from initial planning through to execution and completion.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Ensure that safety protocols and industry standards are strictly followed on all job sites.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations, or a related field.
  • Proven 10+ years of experience as Head of Operations or in a senior executive role in operations management, with a focus on civil and carpentry projects.
  • Experience in managing high-end or luxury construction and carpentry projects is highly preferred.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent project management capabilities, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Financial acumen, with experience overseeing budgets, forecasting, and managing P&L.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with high-end clients.
