National IT Manager - Infrastructure

At Kuehne+Nagel, we are seeking an exceptional professional to lead our IT infrastructure team, driving operational excellence and delivering a stable, reliable, and secure environment.

Your Role:

  • Technical Expertise: As the technical expert and project leader of medium to large projects, you will contribute your leadership expertise and skills to drive operational excellence.
  • Infrastructure Development: You will explore, recommend, and adopt new technologies to benefit the organization, ensuring that infrastructure tasks required for a successful implementation of projects take place.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Analysis: Analyze business requirements on infrastructure, design, manage, and optimize network environments.
  • Monitoring and Support: Establish pro-active monitoring mechanisms on servers and network, monitor performance bottlenecks, and lead discussions with regional IT team or external vendors for solutions.
  • Service Level Agreement: Monitor and support the IT service provided by the 3rd-party companies to ensure that agreed service levels are reached.
  • Team Guidance: Work with and guide other team members to assure corporate standards of infrastructure are consistently applied.
  • Project Implementation: Define or summarize the scope of the implementation project by defining the infrastructure-related objectives for each project.
  • Project Management: Responsible for the successful implementation of the project, including management of resources, deadlines, budget, and agreed deliverables.
  • Quality and Compliance: Pay attention to the implementation of IT infrastructure-related quality and compliance requirements.
  • Risk Management: Analyze and identify project risks and perform permanent risk management, including communication to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Security and Data Protection: Ensuring compliance with security and data protection guidelines.
  • Project Reporting: Provide regular project reporting on project status.

Your Skills and Experiences:

  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in Microsoft servers, storage technologies, network technologies (WAN, LAN, WIFI).
  • Project Management: Hands-on experience as a project manager in IT infrastructure environments.
  • Communication: Written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills in English.
  • Collaboration: Good communication and collaboration capabilities, listening and negotiation skills are required.
  • IT Infrastructure: Good overview and understanding of current and future IT infrastructure technology.
  • Cost-Benefit Analysis: The ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis.
  • Methodical Work: A structured and methodical way of working and professional appearance.
