About the Job

We're hiring an experienced Oracle DBA to be deployed at our client site, a technology consulting and services company with over 11,800 employees worldwide. This C2H position involves administering Oracle databases on Unix/Linux environments, ensuring high availability and performance.

Job Details

  • Experience Required: Minimum of 6 years of experience in Oracle databases administration.
  • Qualifications: BE/B.Tech/Graduation in computer science or related field.
  • Location: Hyderabad/Remote.
  • Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days (candidates with a notice period of less than 30 days are preferred).

Mandatory Skills

  • Administration of Oracle on Unix/Linux environments.
  • Strong operational familiarity with RAC on Oracle 11g/12c.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary support for critical production Oracle databases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents.
  • Ensure 24x7 operation and availability of databases.
  • Perform DDL generation, cloning, data refreshes, and performance tuning.
  • Manage database backup/recovery and disaster recovery planning.
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve performance issues.
  • Develop and maintain database standards and procedures.
  • Identify and resolve database issues proactively.
  • Work closely with vendors for problem resolution.
  • Respond to performance inquiries and application errors.
  • Participate in new system builds and deploy standard jobs.
  • Ensure system supportability before production utilization.
  • Document and track problem resolutions.
  • Provide out-of-hours support for critical issues.
  • Stay current on Oracle database features and functionality.
  • Mentor and coach junior database engineers.
  • Contribute to multiple work streams and set individual goals.
  • Proactively suggest improvements in operations and technology usage.

Estimated Salary Range

Based on industry standards and considering the location, we estimate the salary range for this position to be around ₹10-14 lakhs per annum.
