This new venture marks Cheran Group's entry into the health and wellness sector, leveraging its expertise in tea production and the growing demand for fermented tea beverages.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to drive sales and revenue growth. Key responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and maintaining existing accounts. As the company is in the pre-launch phase, the Sales Manager will play a crucial role in building the business from scratch, coordinating with distributors, and engaging with HORECA (Hotel/Restaurant/Caf) players to drive the promotion and distribution of Kombucha products across targeted channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Build the business from the ground up, establishing processes and best practices for sales operations.
  • Identify and secure key accounts, establishing strong partnerships and managing client relationships.
  • Create comprehensive sales strategies and execute pre-launch sales activities.
  • Coordinate with the internal team to align logistics and marketing to ensure timely delivery of products and seamless execution of sales plans.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with key clients to secure mutually beneficial terms.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and provide actionable insights to optimize sales processes and improve outcomes.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, and use this data to inform sales strategies.
  • Engage with distributors and HORECA players to identify strategic partners for collaboration and drive the promotion and distribution of Kombucha products across targeted channels.
  • Provide regular sales reports to senior management, tracking progress toward business development goals.
  • Build and maintain a strong network within the industry to facilitate ongoing business growth.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction levels, gather feedback, and work to continuously improve client experiences.

Key Competencies:

  • Qualification: Bachelors degree; Masters degree is preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant sales experience
  • Industry: FMCG, Food & Beverage, HORECA
  • Any experience or working knowledge in Food & Beverage sector, HORECA distribution in the cities of Bangalore, Delhi & Mumbai is preferred
  • Experience in a startup environment is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
