Data Support Lead Position Overview

This is a key leadership role that involves overseeing the support operations for applications and pipelines built on Azure Databricks, PySpark, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Function Apps. The successful candidate will have expertise in ITIL processes and incident management frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of engineers, ensuring efficient handling of support activities, and providing technical guidance to resolve complex issues and optimize workflows.
  • Technical Oversight: Manage the monitoring and maintenance of Azure SQL databases and AKS deployments, as well as oversee the support operations for the mentioned applications and pipelines.
  • Incident Management and Escalation: Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents, implement preventive measures, and drive effective communication with stakeholders on incident status and resolution timelines.
  • Process Optimization and Automation: Identify improvements in support processes to enhance efficiency and reliability, and leverage automation tools to reduce manual intervention and streamline operations.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development and operations, to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution, and provide regular updates and reports to leadership and stakeholders on support performance metrics.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for support processes, incident resolutions, and system configurations, and conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops for the support team.

Requirements:

  • B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or related technical degree OR Equivalent required.
