Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Datastage and Cognos Administrator to join our team at Tekgence Inc.

As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for installing, upgrading, and maintaining our Datastage 11.7 and Cognos BI 10.2 systems.

You will apply fix packs on these systems, utilize istool for metadata exports and imports, and configure Content Store exports and imports on the Cognos BI 10.2 Administration Console.

Apart from this, you will set up OS authentication on the Datastage 11.7 Administration Console and AD authentication on the Cognos BI 10.2 Configuration backend.

In addition, you will configure ODBC connections, Oracle TNS entries, and DB2 catalogs, as well as setup audit logging databases on the Cognos BI 10.2 Configuration backend.

You will also host Cognos BI 10.2 frontend using IIS and configure Dynamic Cubes on the Cognos BI 10.2 Administration Console.

Familiarity with AWS services such as Compute, Networking, Security, Identity, and Compliance, and Storage is a must.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 3 or more years of relevant work experience
  • Experience installing and upgrading Datastage 11.7 and Cognos BI 10.2
  • Ability to apply fix packs on Datastage 11.7 and Cognos BI 10.2
  • Knowledge of istool and its application in metadata exports and imports
  • Experience configuring Content Store exports and imports on Cognos BI 10.2 Administration Console
  • Proficiency in setting up OS authentication on Datastage 11.7 Administration Console and AD authentication on Cognos BI 10.2 Configuration backend
