Job Title: Big Data Engineer - Analytics

We are seeking a highly skilled Big Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative data solutions for the financial industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines that ingest, process, and deliver data from various sources to our real-time data platform.
  • Closely collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and Software Engineers to ensure seamless integration and delivery of data solutions.
  • Develop and maintain new data integration solutions to support business growth and expansion.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, SQL, and cloud technologies such as Snowflake.
  • Experience in productive Big Data and Data Analytics environments.
  • Experience in Stream Processing, Streaming Data, and Data Pipelines.
  • Experience with data modeling, data quality, and data governance best practices.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a data engineer or a similar role.
  • Practical experience implementing container platforms, preferably OpenShift / Kubernetes and implementing Microservices.
  • Familiarity in streaming technologies like Kafka and Kafka Connect.
  • Understanding of data visualization solutions like Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI.
  • Practical experience on Infrastructure as code like Terraform.
  • Banking know-how or experience working on financial solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience on Avaloq Banking Suite.
