FACILITY MANAGER ROLE

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing facilities, logistics parks, or large industrial units. An engineering graduate with at least 8 years of experience or a non-technical graduate with specialized professional qualifications and 15 years of experience in managing facilities or hotels will be considered.

  • Prepare documents to put out tenders for contractors
  • Project manage, supervise, and coordinate the work of contractors
  • Investigate the availability and suitability of options for new premises
  • Calculate and compare costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money
  • Plan for future development in line with strategic business objectives
  • Manage and lead change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities
  • Direct, coordinate, and plan essential services such as reception, security, maintenance, mail, archiving, cleaning, catering, waste disposal, and recycling
  • Ensure buildings meet health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation
  • Plan the best allocation and utilization of space and resources for new buildings or reorganizing current premises
  • Check that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and follow up on any deficiencies
  • Coordinate and lead one or more teams to cover various areas of responsibility
  • Use performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels and lead on improvement
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and deal with the consequences
  • OHS Responsibilities:
  • Assist top management in developing policies and site-level QEHSWMS objectives
  • Lead the site team to achieve occupational health and safety objectives, programs, and plans (including wellbeing)
  • Ensure the implementation of organizational policies, procedures, and programs
  • Track the status time-to-time and update top management about implementation status
  • Ensure the provision and maintenance of plant/equipment and systems of work in the workplace are aligned with laid policies and procedures
  • Ensure all control measures identified under HIRA are implemented by employees/staff including contracted work force
  • Support in managing internal/external teams for events, CSR activities undertaken by the organization
  • Ensure the effective implementation of emergency response protocols onsite
  • Lead ERT in an effective and efficient way to ensure minimum/no loss
  • Authority:
  • Authorized to ensure the selection of contractor as per contractor selection criteria
  • Authorized to review policies and procedures
  • Authorized to monitor the effective implementation of OHSMS
  • Authorized to review OHS & wellbeing performance of the site
  • Authorized for liaising with local statutory bodies to ensure site compliance
  • Authorized to stop unsafe work and take action against the doer
