Job Summary:

Copeland is seeking a highly skilled Skid Design Professional to join our team based in Mahindra World City, Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading and managing projects, preparing and consolidating Basic Engineering documents, and working with clients to deliver high-quality results.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Review client tender requirements and develop project plans to ensure timely delivery of Basic Engineering documents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare and consolidate PID, GAD, Equipment Data Sheet, and other related documents.
  • Create accurate and error-free skid buyout BOM and piping material BOM.
  • Enter part codes against the BOM and upload it to Oracle within agreed timelines.
  • Maintain knowledge on piping design, valves, filter/strainer, regulators, control valves, and other components.
  • Stay up-to-date with ASME, API, and related Piping and its component-related international standards.
  • Work closely with the drawing contractor to ensure timely preparation and completion of error-free BOM, P&ID, GAD, and ISO drawings.
  • Design and draft all drawings using Cadworx Plant Professional, including P&ID, General Arrangements Drawing, Isometrics, Piping layouts, Piping constructions drawings, Structure & Pipe support detail drawings, and D and D Modeling.
  • Optimize designs to ensure deliverables are within budget.
  • Prepare Mechanical Components Purchase Specifications, Data Sheets, and all Project Documents.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, factories, suppliers, and customers throughout the Skid Execution, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), and Commissioning process.
  • Close all punch points arising from third-party and customer inspections.
  • Report daily activities to the manager and supervise deliverables, vendor offers, and follow up with vendors/buyer for clearing offers/GAD.
  • Support proposal activities and aid in standardizing client documents and datasheets.
  • Be willing to travel as required for client approvals or vendor/contractor meetings.
  • Handle work pressure and be flexible for extended working hours.
  • Experience in designing regulating skids is an added advantage.
  • Be an energetic, inquisitive, proactive, and enthusiastic person to learn and grow.
  • Have good communication skills.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Knowledge in AutoCAD, CADWORKS, and other design software.
  • Good written and spoken English communication with both internal and external customers.
  • Fundamental technical knowledge on Piping Codes, Standards, and PNGRB Codes.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills with internal and external teams.
  • Fundamental knowledge of safety standards and processes.
  • Able to read, write, and understand engineering drawings, P&ID, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of engineering experience in Piping and Process in the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Awareness of Oil & Gas Industry, City Gas Distribution network, and work experience with Gas Industry Customers.
  • Experience working with consultants like EIL, MECON, Lyons, Tractebel, and customers like GAIL, Gail Gas, MGL, MGNL, IGL, Adani, Torrent, etc.
  • Work with Oracle ERP is an added advantage.
