Cloud Operations Specialist for SAP Enterprise Cloud Services

The Enhanced Operation Service is part of SAP Enterprise Cloud Services Delivery organization. This dedicated team focuses on leading and optimizing strategic customers' end-to-end delivery and operation model during their cloud transformation journey. We provide a spectrum of cloud deployment options for our customers using our own infrastructure, partners, or public cloud infrastructures. The Cloud Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role within the SAP ECS – Enhanced Operations Service (EOS) organization, serving as a trusted advisor responsible for safeguarding and optimizing strategic customers' investments in SAP Enterprise Cloud Services.
We are seeking an experienced SAP technology professional expert for the Enhanced Operations Service (EOS) team who should have a proven track record in areas like SAP Basis, HANA DB, Server management, Critical Situation Handling, Project Management, or similar technical and process backgrounds. A customer-first mindset is a must. As a Cloud Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring day-to-day quality service delivery and defining, tracking, and achieving ambitious service KPI and SLA's.
- Providing quick responses during escalations, taking proactive steps to avoid them, identifying initiatives to improve operation and stability for customer systems, and driving standardization and simplification of server operations.
- Performing comprehensive performance assessments for SAP systems running on hyperscalers platforms utilizing various performance tools.
- Assisting EOS operations support for ongoing performance issues in customer production systems.
- Overseeing performance testing and benchmarking for new IT stacks (HANA + OS) to identify performance issues before sign-off for production implementation using data-driven approaches.
- Developing and implementing performance optimization strategies for SAP applications, HANA DB, and Azure infrastructure.
- Collaborating with ECS Service Engineering, Client Delivery Management, EOS Operations, HANA Development, and Customers to optimize system configurations, parameters, and resource allocation for maximum performance and scalability.
- Documenting performance test results, optimization processes, and recommendations for knowledge sharing and upskilling the team.
- Monitoring production system performance, helping the team proactively identify issues, and providing recommendations to maintain optimal performance levels.
- Conducting root cause analysis for service requests failures/outages, performance issues – continuous improvement methodologies.
- Introducing Continuous Improvement Initiatives to address customer pain points and enhancements in Service Delivery.
- Streamlining standard operating procedures by focusing on automation enhancements.
- Offering proactive operation services for customers and service-on-demand with timely alert reduction programs to all stakeholders, involving the customer.
We estimate the annual salary for this position to be around $120,000 - $180,000 based on industry standards, location, and experience required.
