Housekeeping Director

As the Housekeeping Executive at Gokulam Grand Trivandrum, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department. Your role will involve supervising staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and organization, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for guests.

1. Supervise and manage a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
2. Conduct regular inspections of public areas and employee locker rooms to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
3. Develop and implement housekeeping systems and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
4. Prepare and manage the housekeeping budget, ensuring that expenses are kept to a minimum while maintaining high standards.
5. Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and purchasing, to ensure that housekeeping needs are met and that supplies are adequate.
6. Investigate and resolve any guest complaints or issues related to housekeeping.
7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in housekeeping to ensure that the department remains competitive and efficient.

Requirements:

• Three years degree or diploma in hotel management.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a similar role, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to drive change and improve operational efficiencies.
