Job Title: Java Backend Engineer

At Arcent, we are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Engineer to lead our entire Backend platform for a product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and building REST APIs, with excellent knowledge of data structures and programming skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the entire Backend platform for a product portfolio
  • End-to-end delivery of new features
  • Evolving the architecture for performance and scalability
  • Design, develop, and own components of a highly scalable, distributed web services platform
  • Constantly strive to improve software development process and team productivity
  • Strong exposure in Java, Spring Boot, and building REST APIs
  • Good in dealing with databases, either SQL or NoSQL
  • Individual contributor and passionate about coding
  • Handle Spring Security paradigms
  • Basic idea of AWS or any other cloud for deployment
  • Strong on multi-threading, OOPS, design patterns
  • 2+ Years of Experience on JAVA & Springs Boot
  • Development experience with Web Services (Micro Services, REST, SOAP, Web API etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with MySql or NoSQL
  • Demonstrable experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and development best practice majority of experience in Development project
  • Develop applications through their full life-cycle
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill

Requirements:

  • 2-8 years of experience in a scalable product/ecommerce organization
  • Excellent Java skills, Understanding of Spring framework & MVC approach
  • Strong knowledge of Performance optimization and caching techniques
  • Strong Object Oriented Programming concepts, data structure and algorithms
  • Experience in developing scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed backend services
  • Experience with prevalent design patterns and advanced system designing
  • Good experiences with databases and Schema design. We heavily use NoSQL databases
  • Strong Problem Solving skills
