About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Tester to join our team at ANSR, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our business intelligence (BI) products. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned tester to leverage their expertise in testing BI solutions and make a significant contribution to our organization's success.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing Power BI data models and reports, as well as experience with validating stored procedures and performing root cause analysis. They will be able to design, develop, and maintain manual and automation test scripts, and work effectively in a high-volume, rapid delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with BI analysts and engineers to create testing strategies and develop test plans and test scripts for each BI product.
  • Execute test scripts against systems, reporting data models, and BI reports, and perform regression testing and defect retesting.
  • Provide independent review of testing performed by BI Analysts/report developers, ensuring quality and consistency of test scoping, planning execution, and reporting.
  • Support BI Analysts and business users during acceptance testing, defining user acceptance test cases, documenting testing issues and test results, and communicating effectively with all levels of management.
  • Produce test artifacts, such as test completion reports and test metrics, and manage defects.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in validating Power BI data models and reports, as well as experience with validating stored procedures and performing root cause analysis.
  • Experience in design, development, and maintenance of manual and automation test scripts.
  • Ability to breakdown high-level business requirements and map to iterative delivery and create robust technical test scripts.
  • Strong SQL skills to carry out data validations, and experience working with Excel/Pivot tables to combine data sets.
  • SSRS/Power BI experience preferred, as well as good working knowledge and understanding of Agile practices.
