We are seeking a highly skilled Security Architect to join our team at Verifone. As a Security Architect, you will be responsible for providing best-in-class security guidance and architecture to our development teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain security criteria for our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Continuously review and improve our SDLC to ensure our code remains secure and PCI compliant
  • Collaborate with software development teams to prepare for PCI audits
  • Provide technical direction and define technical and coding standards
  • Perform application vulnerability assessments and evaluations
  • Organize and review penetration testing with 3rd parties for development teams as needed
  • Review architectural designs to ensure they meet security standards and provide security sign-off
  • Create architectural blueprints and technical documentation, demonstrating prototypes through hands-on development (where possible)
  • Analyze industry innovation trends and combine existing technologies with new tools and processes to ensure continuous code security
  • Explore new threats, attack methods, and techniques
  • Attend PCI Council meetings

Requirements:

  • More than 5 years of experience in the payments security domain within a software application space
  • Proven experience as a Security Architect or similar role within a financial services environment
  • Strong understanding of security by design principles and IT risk management
  • Demonstrate knowledge of PCI Standards used within the payments space
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with OWASP Top10 or SANS Top 25
  • Experience breaking down complex systems and applications to identify threats
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF) are highly desirable
