Job Title: Strategic Human Resources Partner

About This Role

This role is a key position within Walmart, responsible for overseeing the operation of the HR department. The individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive Business Execution

The successful candidate will drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.

Supervise and Develop Associates

The individual in this position will provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.

Promote Company Policies and Values

The successful candidate will promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.

Evaluate and Improve Business Operations

The individual in this position will ensure business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

Oversee Talent Management Initiatives

The successful candidate will oversee strategic programs to focus on staffing and retention, including attracting, retaining, and promoting a diverse and inclusive workforce by partnering with business leaders to develop plans and processes; evaluating and making recommendations for program advancements and best practices; and establishing and building a network of contacts within the field (for example, professional associations, educational groups).

Implement Associate Engagement Plans

The individual in this position will implement associate engagement plans for designated business units by analyzing survey data and employment trends; researching engagement issues and concerns; soliciting associate feedback to assist in identifying solutions and generating action plans; and reviewing and ensuring consistent application of company policies and procedures.

Travel

Traveling is necessary to perform one or more essential functions of this position. Travels internationally to and from multiple facilities or work-sites requiring extended overnight stays.

Entry Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 3 years' experience in human resources or related area OR 5 years' experience in human resources or related area

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year.
