Medical Communications Lead

We seek an experienced medical communications professional to lead our content development team. As a Medical Communications Lead, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality communication materials that support our clients' goals.

Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the creation of medical communication materials, including scientific manuscripts, medical marketing collateral, and educational content. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all content meets the highest standards of quality and compliance.

You will also be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are completed on time and within scope. This includes assigning tasks to team members based on their skillset, complexity, and expertise, as well as optimizing their utilization.

In addition to your project management responsibilities, you will also be expected to provide guidance and training to new team members on content writing and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Content Development: Oversee the creation of medical communication materials, including scientific manuscripts, medical marketing collateral, and educational content.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to scope.
  • Team Management: Assign tasks to team members based on their skillset, complexity, and expertise, as well as optimize their utilization.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., life sciences, pharmacy).
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in medical communications, medical writing, or a related field, with 2+ years of people management experience.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, including knowledge of clinical trials, drug development, regulatory processes, and marketing activities.
  • Writing and Editing Skills: Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with industry-specific software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, EndNote, reference management software).
