Role – Store Director

PURPOSE & IMPACT ON ORGANIZATION:

  • Take full ownership of the store and its commercial success, driving sales, productivity, and profitability.
  • Analyze relevant data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance store performance.
  • Lead by example, maximizing time spent selling and mentoring team members on the sales floor.
  • Ensure a manager is always on duty, focusing team members on customer service and sales.
  • Schedule staff to meet customer needs, drive sales, and execute tasks efficiently.
  • Be a Brand Ambassador, consistently demonstrating the Brand Attitude and Values.
  • Ensure proper in-store Brand execution according to established standards and directives.
  • Train team members on Foundational and Seasonal Brand and product knowledge.
  • Manage store operations systematically and efficiently, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure Visual Merchandising and In-Store Communication standards are consistently executed and maintained.
  • Process merchandise deliveries promptly and make the entire product offer easily accessible to customers.
  • Process cash register transactions quickly and accurately.
  • Implement loss prevention policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and productive shopping and working environment.
  • Recruit and train store team members.
  • Adhere to HR policies and procedures.
  • Create a high-performance culture by setting clear expectations, analyzing performance, and providing feedback.
  • Identify and develop strong performers for growth opportunities.
  • Share best practices to drive collective performance.
  • Complete training programs and apply learning on the job.
  • Seek coaching and learning opportunities to improve performance.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a Graduate/Postgraduate from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 18 months' work experience in a sports/fashion customer and commercial-focused retail environment with 12 months of Store Management responsibility.
  • Intermediate numeracy and literacy and advanced verbal communication skills.
