About the Role

The Operations Delivery function plays a vital role in processing every customer financial transaction. This process links risk management and control processes to safeguard the organization's assets and reputation. Operations staff collaborate closely with other divisions, as well as external clients when necessary, to ensure seamless business delivery and fulfillment.

This encompasses processing, servicing, accounting, reporting functions, and customer service. Effective communication within the organization, involving department managers and officers, promotes efficient and accurate workflow, fosters positive working relationships across departments, and facilitates intra- and inter-departmental coordination.

Key Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and reviewing process workflows for co-lending/partnerships.
  2. Streamlining credit workflows in the system.
  3. Maintaining regular interactions with multiple stakeholders, including business, product, credit, IT, and analytics teams.
  4. Collaborating with internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure flawless execution of co-lending projects.
  5. Liaising with the legal team and partners to formulate loan documents, including sanction letters and loan agreements.
  6. Cultivating partnerships with banks for escrow account openings and finalizing escrow agreements.
  7. Conducting end-to-end system UAT for credit filters and workflow for new partner onboarding.
  8. Providing suggestions for changes to enhance the success of the partner's program post go-live.
  9. Ensuring all tasks, deliverables, and documentation related to lending agreements are completed with utmost accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A graduate or postgraduate degree with 3-6 years' experience in fintech/co-lending partnerships/start-ups, preferably in a multi-partnership management environment.
  • A sound understanding of different LMS constructs and the ability to define processes with partners.
  • Broad knowledge of various loan products, such as Auto Loan, Consumer Loan, Business Loan, Loan against property, Education loan.
  • In-depth understanding of the lending journey, including Credit Underwriting/Legal/Documentation and Operations.
  • The ability to recognize opportunities for strengthening controls and improving operational efficiency.
  • Process orientation: Ability to improve processes through standardization and automation.
  • Analytical thinking: Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative deep dives on emerging tech trends.
  • Stakeholder management: Ability to quickly build relationships and become a trusted partner to internal and external stakeholders.
  • The capacity to synthesize information both verbally and in writing to influence and drive alignment.

Hard Skills

The candidate should have:

  • Financial literacy, including basic P&L, ratios, balance sheet analysis, etc.
  • Knowledge of Retail & Co-Lending operations structures, working capital-based, supply chain financing products.
  • Analysis skills for stock & financial statements, understanding revolving Credit Lines, basic financial knowledge & applicability to business scenarios.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Commercial acumen, industry analysis, and sectoral insight, with the ability to connect dots and impact on P&L, Risk Framework.
  • Numerical skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Soft Skills

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Emotional Intelligence and the ability to relate to other roles within the team & outside.
  • Planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to understand broader business issues and apply operational changes accordingly into the teams being managed.
