Job Title: Assistant Food Operations Manager

This role is responsible for assisting in the planning, preparation and implementation of food and beverage products in all areas of the restaurant.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of recipes, standards and plating guides, and will be able to work seamlessly with these tools to deliver high-quality dishes.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  •   - Assist in the development and implementation of menu items and promotions
  •   - Work closely with the Executive Sous Chef to ensure that food costs are controlled and that inventory levels are maintained
  •   - Participate in quality initiatives such as daily chef briefings and monthly team meetings
  •   - Assist in the training and development of team members
  •   - Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  •   - Assist in the management of off-site events and catering
  •   - Participate in the development and implementation of new recipes and cooking methods
  •   - Maintain accurate records of food usage and inventory levels
  •   - Assist in the maintenance of kitchen equipment and tools
  •   - Participate in the development and implementation of menu pricing and costing
  •   - Assist in the management of team member performance and conduct
  •   - Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards colleagues and supervisors

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of recipes, standards and plating guides
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
- Basic math skills and ability to manage inventory levels
