Account Sales Professional

Job Opportunity:
As a Sales Engineer - Automation Solutions, you will be responsible for identifying and closing profitable business opportunities at assigned accounts. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing a deep understanding of client business objectives and plans to identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
- Engaging with clients at various levels to understand their challenges and objectives, and building a trust relationship with existing customers.
- Developing a 12-24 month pipeline of well-qualified incremental business opportunities.
- Maintaining detailed knowledge of installed Cognex technology, including competitive products.
- Effectively demonstrating products to customers using the Cognex standard sales process.
- Playing a lead role in contract negotiations and ensuring contract compliance.
- Cooperating with the development of integration partners to close strategic opportunities.
- Assisting at trade shows and other marketing events.
- Coordinating evaluations with the Applications Engineering team.
- Maintaining operational excellence by accurate forecasting and upward information flow.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of sales performance in the automation industry.
- Proven track record of operating in a solutions sales environment with longer and more complex sales cycles.
- Building long-term account and partner relationships.
- Energetic, flexible, and capable of operating remotely.
- Ability to travel intensively across the assigned territory.
- Ability to work independently.
- University Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Proven sales experience and a good track record for exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in selling technical products to all levels of an organization.
- Experience in selling vision products is preferred.
