Responsibilities

  1. Monitor systems for unauthorized access, data breaches, and security threats.
  2. Respond to cybersecurity incidents effectively, following established procedures.
  3. Create detailed reports on incidents, including actions taken and lessons learned.
  4. Develop strategies to prevent future security incidents by identifying vulnerabilities and implementing countermeasures.
  5. Provide support and guidance to colleagues on incident response procedures and best practices.
  6. Conduct thorough post-incident analysis to identify areas for improvement in response and prevention strategies.
  7. Produce detailed incident reports and technical briefs for management and stakeholders.
  8. Communicate with stakeholders about incident status and response efforts.
  9. Stay updated on current cybersecurity threats and incident response methodologies.
  10. Manage internal and external SSL certificates to ensure secure communication channels.

Qualifications

Essential Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field. Relevant certifications, such as CEH, CISSP, or GCIH, are a plus.
  2. Minimum 4-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 1 year in a SOC environment.
  3. Proficiency in using SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, endpoint security solutions, and network analysis tools.
  4. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and other security technologies.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience

  1. Develop strategies to prevent future security incidents by identifying vulnerabilities and implementing countermeasures.
  2. Demonstrate familiarity with scripting languages and experience with vulnerability management and penetration testing.
  3. Be proficient in using various security tools and technologies.
  4. Stay updated on current cybersecurity threats and incident response methodologies.
  5. Possess industry-recognized security certifications.
  6. Develop incident response plans and conduct tabletop exercises.
