About this Role:
We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Engineering Manager to lead our Cloud Security Engineering team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a deep understanding of cloud security principles, particularly in an AWS environment, with experience in infrastructure and policy as code methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Cloud Security Engineering team to develop and implement cloud security strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud security is integrated into all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant industry regulations, standards, and frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001).
- Ensure the organization's compliance with applicable regulations and standards, including the development and implementation of necessary policies, procedures, and controls.
- Drive the adoption of DevSecOps practices, promoting the integration of security throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Monitor and optimize CI/CD processes to enhance efficiency, speed, and quality of software releases.
- Foster a collaborative and proactive environment within the team, ensuring effective communication and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience leading software engineering teams of 6-10 engineers.
- Deep technical experience in software engineering and systems design.
- Meaningful experience leading cloud engineering, security or SDLC engineering teams.
- Deep understanding of cloud security principles, particularly in an AWS environment, with experience in infrastructure and policy as code methodologies.
- Strong expertise in risk management, incident response, and security architecture, with a focus on automation.
- Proven experience managing Security Operations Centers (SOCs) and Cloud Security Engineering teams.
