Senior Data Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing large-scale data solutions using Trino in AWS environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and optimize Trino clusters for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Implement and manage data virtualization solutions using Trino in cloud environments.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot distributed SQL queries to ensure high performance.
  • Configure and manage security for Trino, including LDAP integration and Apache Ranger policies.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, cloud architects, and DevOps teams to deliver robust data pipelines and services.
  • Automate deployment, configuration, and monitoring using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Apply best practices in data engineering for versioning, release management, and deployment processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience Level: 5+ Years.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Trino (Starburst or Apache) including installation, performance tuning, security integrations (LDAP, Ranger), and distributed query troubleshooting.
  • Solid knowledge of AWS Cloud Services.
  • Expertise in data virtualization concepts and implementations.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages: Python, SQL, Bash, Node.js, Linux/Unix shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools, including GitHub Actions, Terraform, Kubernetes.
