Oracle Performance Optimization Specialist

As a seasoned Oracle performance optimization specialist, you will be responsible for streamlining database operations and ensuring seamless performance. Your expertise in logical and physical database administration will be crucial in supporting our database re-platforming efforts to Exadata.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and optimize database performance using tools like SQL Trace and Explain Plan.
  • Implement data loading scripts related to Golden Gate data replication.
  • Develop and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Work closely with data architects and analysts to design and implement database schemas, tables, views, and stored procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance on Oracle best practices for custom application development and routine database administration.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in logical and physical DBA, including experience in Oracle Exadata.
  • Extensive knowledge of database data movement and processing, including Golden Gate and Informatica ETL.
  • Familiarity with JIRA workflow processes and agile methodology.
  • Working experience with TOAD or Oracle SQL Developer.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
