Job Title : Apparel Graphic / Print Designer

Salary Range : $30-$50K per annum

Experience Level : 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the fashion industry.

Job Overview :

We are seeking an accomplished and innovative Print/Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team at Creatnet Services Ltd. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to interpret creative briefs, conduct relevant research, and translate mood and inspiration into unique hand-drawn or digitally created artworks. You will collaborate closely with apparel designers & partners to craft visually stunning designs that align with the brand's handwriting, while ensuring the final product remains fresh, original, and true to the inspiration provided.

About the Role :

  • Creative Brief Interpretation : Collaborate with the design team & creative director to fully understand the creative brief, mood, and inspiration. Translate these concepts into original artwork and designs that align with the brand's specific handwriting.
  • Research : Conduct relevant research based on mood boards, trends, and themes provided to inform your design process and ensure your artwork remains fresh, unique, and on-brand.
  • Hand-Drawn & Digital Artwork Creation : Create hand-drawn or digital illustrations from scratch, ensuring each design is one-of-a-kind and tailored to the specific requirements of the project.
  • Detail-Oriented Design Execution : Pay meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that all aspects of the design—whether typography, color palette, or composition—are aligned with the vision of the brand and project.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with apparel designers to integrate prints and graphics seamlessly into the overall apparel design/placement, ensuring that the designs work cohesively within the collection.
  • Creative Innovation : Bring fresh ideas and innovative solutions to the table, always aiming to push boundaries while maintaining the integrity of the design brief and brand's requirements.
  • Mood Board & Keyword Translation : Analyze mood boards and extract key words and visual elements to inform your design decisions. Transform these ideas into a cohesive visual narrative.
  • Placement Print Projects : Once the final placement print ideas are approved, collaborate with the apparel design team, technicians, and the merchant team to efficiently place the artwork on patterns. This requires a keen eye for placement, ensuring that designs flow seamlessly across the garment and align with production processes to optimize the final product.
  • Feedback Incorporation : Accept and incorporate feedback from the design and creative teams to ensure the final design meets both aesthetic and functional needs.

Requirements :

  • Proven experience as a Print/Graphic Designer or in a similar role, ideally within the fashion industry.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of design styles, including hand-drawn and digital work.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketchbook.
  • An excellent understanding of typography, color theory, and design principles.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong attention to detail and the ability to execute creative ideas while maintaining consistency with brand identity.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present and articulate design concepts to cross-functional teams.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to collaborate, and a sense of humor – someone who is serious about their craft but knows how to enjoy the creative process.
