Our current engineering challenges lie in credit risk modeling, fraud detection, and automation of lending processes. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a team that will shape the product direction and define key features impacting the business.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the product and work closely with Principal Engineers to evolve the design and architecture of our products. They will be responsible for setting up and maintaining high software quality standards, providing technical direction to a team of Software Engineers, and driving the development lifecycle from scoping to delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and deploy applications that impact Rupeek's business with a focus on Mobile, Payments, Core Platform, and Analytics.
  • Drive the architecture and design of large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications using object-oriented design, distributed programming, Java, and C/C++.
  • Gather business and functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications to build robust, scalable solutions.
  • Serve as technical lead throughout the full development lifecycle, providing design reviews and managing engineers on multiple technical projects.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.
  • 5 to 7 years of Software Development experience.
  • Experience in system design, distributed systems, relational and No-SQL databases.
  • Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills (C/C++ and/or Java preferably on a UNIX or Linux platform).
  • Solid software development background including design patterns, algorithms, data structures, test-driven development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
