Job Description

The Process Specialist will be part of the WRFM Operation, responsible for maximizing integrated business value across the organization. This role will work closely with the Operations Lead, Technical Asset Operations (TAO), and other teams to deliver high-quality technical resources who are not physically present at site but are an integral part of asset teams.



Key Responsibilities


  • Act as WRFM Process Specialist for SS&W across Shell assets.
  • Work with the Excellence Lead for Process Improvements and Initiatives to optimize process, organization, and business enabled values for WRFM and related activities.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of geologists, reservoir engineers, production technologists, petrophysicists, and surface process engineers to maximize production from the asset through WRFM activities.
  • Report project progress and discuss opportunities for improvement on a regular basis with the WRFM Operational Lead and Leadership Team of SS&W.
  • Accountable for the maturation and execution of the WRFM improvement plan for assets.
  • Accountable for staff development and coaching young talents within the organization.
  • Support other parts of the organization to report asset performance at regular partners/governmental meetings/technical workshops.
  • Identify and drive further improvement opportunities in WRFM opportunity identification, maturation, and execution.
  • Facilitate WRFM delivery for the asset in a functional organization.
  • Accountable for the delivery of the asset's Field Development Plans, Asset Reference Plans, Business Planning, and Mid-Term Production Forecasting.
  • Perform pressure transient analysis and productivity analysis to help maximize well/reservoir performance and drive fully integrated management of the assets.
  • Support Wells, Reservoir, and Facilities Management (WRFM) including interaction with operations, surveillance staff, and offshore.
  • Liaise with multi-discipline operations teams in the design and execution of well and reservoir surveillance/sampling activities.
  • Provide Reservoir Engineering analyses as required for partner engagements.
  • Track and internal/external reporting of WRFM KPIs for the asset and support WRFM tools including standardized delivery of data portals, proposals, etc.
  • Drive CI methodologies for WRFM Digitalization, Standardization, and Simplification.


Requirements


  • Petroleum Engineering or related PE Degree in a related technical field with 10+ years' industry experience, complemented by a robust relevant technical skill set.
  • Strong skills in PTA, PVT, and sample analysis will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of field development planning activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well in a diverse, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Deep understanding of WRFM practices and WRFM standards.
  • Broad knowledge of other subsurface, engineering, well services, and operations disciplines to liaise effectively with multiple interfaces.
  • Excellent team working skills and ability to effectively consult teams of diverse backgrounds.
  • High level of initiative and drive to identify and follow-through development opportunities.
  • Track record of effective coaching and mentoring is a must.
  • Drive to improve WRFM implementation in a functional organization.
  • High motivation to get things done in a demanding operational environment.
  • Ability to achieve by influencing.
  • Enthusiasm to work with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Clear communication in written and spoken English.
