Our Team

The Risk Models Data Science team at CARS24 Financial Services plays a critical role in managing credit risk models through their lifecycle. As a member of this team, you will be exposed to various activities, including model development, evaluation, validation, monitoring, implementation testing, and documentation.

You will have the opportunity to learn industry best practices in credit models development and work on experimental models using machine learning techniques. You will also own the models and be the primary point of contact for the Risk Management team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Create credit risk models using traditional logistic regression and machine learning techniques.
  • Validate and monitor internal and external credit models by computing standard metrics.
  • Detailed documentation of model development activity for review by the Risk Management team.
  • Improve existing procedures to increase efficiency in the model development process.
  • Prepare project presentations for review by Senior Management.
  • Evaluate business problems across the credit function and propose model-based solutions.
  • Mentor junior team members in day-to-day activities.
  • Collaborate with Cars'24 portfolio teams to understand changes in model performance.
  • Work on multiple projects and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide analytical support on key business initiatives and develop a strong working knowledge of the data warehouse and applicable analytic data systems.
  • Work independently with stakeholders and propose insights for decision-making.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics/Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Computer Science/Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of relevant analytical experience in scorecard development, ML modeling, segmentation, and clustering.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in consumer credit.
  • Hands-on experience in building credit models using SAS, Python, or R.
  • Working knowledge of Logistical/Linear/Regressions CHAID/CART/Clustering techniques.
  • Experience working in Hadoop and Bigdata environments.
  • Strong coding skills in Python and Pyspark.
  • Classical statistical techniques: Regression, Logistic regression, Clustering, Dimensionality reduction techniques.
  • Machine Learning algorithms: KNN, NBM, DT, CART, Boosting & Bagging models, SVM, Neural net, Ensemble models, etc.
  • Working knowledge of credit bureau/Banking or any alternative data.

Compensation Package

We offer an estimated annual salary of $120,000-$180,000 based on location and experience.
