Laboratory Director

Key Responsibilities

To establish a cutting-edge laboratory for the animal nutrition sector, focusing on innovation and excellence.

Key Objectives

  • Develop and implement goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems for testing and reporting.
  • Drive the laboratory team to ensure processes and procedures are properly understood, carried out, and evaluated.
  • Manage day-to-day activities, including task management and laboratory operations.
  • Implement, review, and maintain internal quality systems and external certifications.
  • Collaborate with Alltech's Sales and technical teams to support customers.
  • Train and set up laboratories at customer sites.
  • Identify relevant training needs and develop the team.
  • Oversee the overall working of the laboratory, including finance, administration, and other related departments.
  • Lead the construction of the laboratory and finalize vendors for civil, procurement of equipment, and other requirements.
  • Hire new or replacement staff for the laboratory.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by Trustees from time to time.

    Requirements

    A degree in veterinary science or food science with specialization in nutrition is preferred.
