Role Overview

Thomson Reuters is a leader in providing innovative technologies to ensure global consistency of support tasks.

This position involves working with large support teams, providing second-level support to internal stakeholders and 3rd party engineers regarding Thomson Reuters products.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working from flexible hours, including evenings and night shifts, and possess strong technical skills, especially in .Net/dotnet and API development/consumption.

About the Job

  • Programming skills in .Net/dotnet are essential, as well as experience with developing or consuming REST APIs and understanding of API concepts.
  • Familiarity with API tools like postman, swagger, and technologies like JSON, etc., is required.
  • Experience with API gateway and related concepts like rate limiting, OAuth2, and API security patterns is necessary.
  • Troubleshooting skills and good written and verbal communication to communicate with customers are also important.
  • The ability to learn new technologies and processes is crucial.

About You

  • As an experienced engineer, you will provide expertise on several complex products.
  • You will interface with product support groups and development groups.
  • You will perform customer site break-fix activities remotely (or dispatch to site when required) and full-time on-site using global consistent methodologies and tools.
  • You will provide support for alpha and beta programs.
  • You will act as an expert in your area to provide high-quality advice about the products assigned to internal stakeholders and 3rd party engineers.
  • Maintaining awareness of relevant technical and product trends through self-learning/study, training classes, and job shadowing is essential.
  • Maintaining site documentation is also important.
  • Providing feedback to development and qualification teams is crucial.
  • Providing technical training to both front-line support teams and 3rd party engineers is necessary.
  • Escalating major, elusive, or recurrent issues affecting customer satisfaction is also important.
  • You may work as part of the project implementation team to integrate Thomson Reuters products at customer sites.
  • You may deliver technology training to customers.

We estimate the annual salary range for this role to be between $80,000 and $120,000 based on industry standards and comparable positions.
