Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Main Responsibilities


  2. Assist and lead all tasks defined by senior buyers in a cohesive manner.
  3. Take responsibility for the procurement of direct material from local and overseas.
  4. Participate actively in new supplier development activities.
  5. Purchase to pay process owner, responsible for sending enquiries, offer evaluation, negotiation, order placement, follow up, visits to vendors, and resolving receipt issues and payment to vendors in a timely manner.
  6. Lead standardize terms and conditions, frame agreements, external/internal audits, setting up processes, and making SOPs.
  7. Negotiate for the best prices and delivery to meet pre-post and delivery targets.
  8. Prepare various sourcing dashboards and apps.
  9. Support vendor evaluation, rating, development, quality improvement with a zero-defect initiative from a SHEQ point of view and monitor them as per group requirements.
  10. Maintain clear and collaborative interaction with all departments to ensure highly efficient and effective operations to meet revenue and profit targets.
  11. Frequently visit vendor ends to follow up and expedite ongoing jobs and process enhancement.
  12. Support the sales function for prebid sales to get offers from vendors and negotiate the best possible extent.
  13. Support monthly reporting activities.
  14. Participate and contribute sourcing side in various meetings such as project review meetings, toolbox talk meetings, etc.
  15. Perform all other tasks defined by the sourcing manager as per business needs.
  16. Support audit preparations (external as well as internal) until punch point closure.
  17. Lead common sourcing activities until logical conclusion.
  18. Assist team leaders in creating vendor dashboards, digitalization drives, monthly reporting activities, BPR, and all other reporting/compliances.
  19. Develop various formats to monitor progress.
  20. Support and improve the use of Jagger tool to communicate with vendors.
  21. Monitor the performance of expeditors and take action on red flags raised by stakeholders.
  22. Perform global sourcing from India for plants located outside India.
  23. Work according to 'The Atlas Copco Way' and 'Business Code of Practice.'
  24. Perform responsibilities not limited to mentioned here but as per assigned by head sourcing timely as per changing business needs.


Requirements


  2. A sound technical knowledge of products, procurement, supply chain, commercial, and technical acumen to execute tailor-made projects, having experience of parts like castings, fabrication & bought outs like motors, valves, pumps, VMS, PLCs, electronic flow/temperature/pressure instruments, capex/opex requirements.
  3. Strong interpersonal communication.
  4. Desired experience will be in the range of 5 to 6 years.

  2. SAP MM and MS Office expertise required.
  3. Commercial contract conditions and supply chain knowledge.
  4. Sound knowledge in new supplier development, manufacturing process, global supply chain, planning, and systems will be an added advantage.


Education


  2. University degree in Engineering in any discipline (Mechanical preferred).
  3. Be fluent in English and other Indian languages.
  4. MBA would be an added advantage.
