Job Title: Marine Operations Associate

This position is a vital part of our fleet operations team, ensuring seamless execution of voyages and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • To oversee daily vessel operations, ensuring all vessels meet charter party terms by monitoring noon reports/position reports and coordinating with the master of the vessel.
  • To collect cargo documents from the vessel at every load/discharge port, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • To evaluate and analyze vessel performance in the charterers' performance format, identifying areas for improvement.
  • To prepare freight invoices and demurrage claims as per the charter party, following up with charterers for prompt payment.
  • To ensure deck and engine logs (containing sea passage performance) are sent to charterers within stipulated time, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • To raise monthly charter hire invoices, freight invoices, bunker reimbursement invoices, and demurrage invoices to charterers and brokers, ensuring timely submission and follow-ups.
  • To support the Vessel Operation Superintendent in day-to-day work, contributing to smooth vessel operation and effective team collaboration.

In addition to these key responsibilities, the successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Science, demonstrating a strong foundation in mechanical principles and practices.
