Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to provide technical support and expertise to our Upstream and Downstream manufacturing sites globally. The successful candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering and integrity management, with experience in evaluating existing structures and developing design calculation sheets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide civil/structural engineering expertise to Upstream and Downstream manufacturing sites globally.
  • Sustain ExxonMobil's culture of safety and support compliance with established safety management systems.
  • Participate in the development of company and industry standards.
  • Provide technical support to Upstream and Downstream manufacturing sites.
  • Assist facilities with risk management activities to ensure compliance with ExxonMobil's Operation Integrity Management System expectations.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with GPA 7.0 or above.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Structural Engineering and Integrity Management for projects/in-service units in the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Strong technical & analytical skills.
  • Site experience and knowledge in evaluations of existing structures.
  • Experience with fixed and floating offshore structures, such as Concrete Gravity Based, Steel Jacket Platforms, Floating Production Storage and Offloading Units, Semi-Submersible.
  • Management of engineering design.
  • Perform fitness for service engineering assessment based on existing conditions.
  • Provide repair scope after structural assessments for continuous operations.
  • Provide insights for advanced inspection technologies in civil/structural inspections.
  • Interact with Design Engineers to develop engineering drawings. Review & approve civil / structural drawings.
  • Familiarity with structural analysis and design software (e.g., SACS, STAAD Pro, Mat 3D, CAP).
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
  • Hand-on experience in developing design calculation sheets for reinforced concrete and steel structures using applicable design codes and standards.
  • Able to identify the anomaly from civil / structural inspection report (for offshore topside/underwater and onshore structure), perform risk assessment and provide repair recommendation using sound engineering judgement and best practices.
  • Candidates should be self-motivated and focused on achieving business results.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills are essential.
  • Should be able to train and mentor young team member to enhance competency and capability in the team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willing and able to travel as required, both domestic and international.
