Overview

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Management Supervisor to join our team at Accor. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Stewarding Department and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Job Summary

The Facilities Management Supervisor will report directly to the Executive Chef and will be responsible for coordinating the maintenance of all back-of-house equipment, scheduling weekly kitchen cleaning, and ensuring proper sanitation standards are met through adherence to local health and sanitation codes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assign specific duties to employees under supervision and instruct them in their work, including external contracted employees.
  • Prepare work schedules using computerized schedule planners and obtain advance approval of overtime and vacation on a weekly basis.
  • Submit weekly payroll and overtime reports to the Executive Chef for approval.
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Maintain department communication logbooks and update notice boards.
  • Ensure a healthy and safe working environment by following safety protocols and reporting any hazards or incidents.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to arrange for maintenance and repairs of equipment.
  • Prepare operating equipment provision budgets in coordination with breakage and theft itemized records.
  • Monitor and control waste disposal and recycling practices within the department.
  • Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-6 years of experience in facilities management or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong operational and technical knowledge.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and financial planning processes.
  • Experience with inventory management and control.

Salary

$65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Hospitality industry, urban location.
