Java Backend Specialist

We are on the hunt for a skilled Java Backend Developer to join our team in Kharadi, Pune. With a focus on Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful API development, and Hibernate, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust backend systems that meet our stringent quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Java, JSP, Servlets, and must be well-versed in frameworks such as Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA. You should also be proficient in database management using SQL and JDBC, and have expertise in DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Grafana, Apache Kafka, and SonarQube.

In this role, you will work closely with our QA team to ensure seamless automation and regression testing support. Your attention to detail and ability to identify bottlenecks will be invaluable in optimizing application performance and improving overall efficiency.

To succeed in this position, you should possess excellent problem-solving skills, a strong understanding of software development life cycles, and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-performance Java backend applications using Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Implement microservices architecture with a focus on scalability, fault tolerance, and maintainability.
• Ensure code quality, modularity, and reusability.
• Manage and automate deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
• Monitor infrastructure performance using Grafana, SonarQube, or similar tools.
• Collaborate with DevOps team to maintain CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Build and manage RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Integrate internal and external systems effectively.
• Handle SOAP-based services where applicable.
• Write and maintain unit tests using JUnit 5, Mockito, and Groovy.
• Participate in peer code reviews and improve test coverage.
• Work closely with QA for automation and regression testing support.
• Analyze application performance and identify bottlenecks.
• Optimize database queries and backend logic for better response times.
• Monitor and log application issues using appropriate tools.
• Maintain proper technical documentation for APIs, architecture, and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, Frontend, and Product teams.
• Stay updated on new backend technologies and DevOps trends.
• Propose improvements in development and deployment

Requirements:

• 7-13 years of experience in Java Backend Development.
• Extensive knowledge of Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Strong understanding of database management using SQL and JDBC.
• Proficiency in DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Grafana, Apache Kafka, and SonarQube.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
