Software Architect for Construction Innovation

Synergy ML seeks a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team in driving innovation in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction sector.
We offer an exciting opportunity to elevate your career by working on a platform that automates repetitive tasks and provides accurate building designs. The ideal candidate will have experience in practical applications of complex mathematical and optimization algorithms.
The role requires collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and product developers, to build a platform that follows DFMA principles and integrates design and development guidelines.
Your key responsibilities will include applying numerical methods to compute optimized algorithms, developing workflows and logic to power core platform capabilities, converting business logic and complex algorithms into optimized code, and contributing to system design for scalability and reliability.
This is a dynamic role that requires constant learning, acquiring domain knowledge related to construction and development processes, mathematical and optimization algorithms, and producing excellent quality software.
In this position, you will work closely with tech leads and architects to ensure the system's scalability and reliability, while also contributing to the requirements gathering phase when planning new features.
We appreciate problem-solvers who can parachute in critical conditions and come up with innovative solutions.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's/master's degree in Computer Science, at least 4 years of relevant experience, prior experience in geospatial data management, and familiarity with SQL and No-SQL databases like Postgres/MS SQL/Graph Databases.
Experience with REST Frameworks like Spring Boot, past contributions or work experience in automation software/generative design systems using algorithms, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and collaborative teamwork are highly valued.
We estimate the salary for this position to be around $140,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
