This position focuses on collecting data from regulatory sources on chemical substances. Examples include international inventory lists, occupational exposure limits, GHS classification lists, environmental emission restrictions, transport of dangerous goods, and physical properties.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively monitor legislation and regulations related to Regulatory Data Content.
  • Analyze and incorporate new and updated legislation into our database.
  • Develop technical documentation describing the analysis and interpretation of Regulatory Data Lists.
  • Maintain effective relationships with regulatory agencies and consultants specializing in specific regulations.
  • Liaise with teams to identify continuous improvement initiatives for content quality and work process efficiency enhancements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of experience working with EHS regulations or practical experience with chemicals.
  • Familiarity with relational databases using programs like MS Access or SQL.
  • Experience with data manipulation in MS Excel.
  • Good knowledge of chemical nomenclature and structures.
  • Fluent English skills and strong reading/writing abilities.

Education:

  • University degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Ecology, or related fields.

This role involves working with a repository of over 230,000 regulated chemical substances. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Estimated salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and qualifications.
