We are seeking a talented Senior Electrical Engineer - Water Projects to join our team in the North American region. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of our water projects.

Key Objectives:

  • To take on a main role within the ANA Water and Wastewater Treatment sector, providing technical advice and leading by example where appropriate.
  • To manage selected projects (or parts of projects) meeting budgetary, quality, and timeframe targets.
  • To build and consolidate networks within the Water industry.

Job Accountabilities:

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • An entry-level leadership role leading a large team of Electrical Engineers.
  • Deliver multiple complex projects and directly manage external client relationships.
  • Create opportunities to implement new digital approaches in your projects.
  • Preparation of design reports and design calculations for various electrical and power equipment.
  • Responsible for performing engineering services for water and wastewater sector projects.
  • Complete design knowledge using ETAP, SKM Tool, Amtech, and DIALux software.
  • Ability to lead a team on various projects in line with client requirements.
  • Provide design input to CAD/BIM and coordinate with BIM/CAD staff for the preparation of drawings.
  • Liaison with other team members to produce good design solutions as per the best design practice.
  • Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
  • Building a profile in the industry and keeping up to date with innovations and developments.
  • Compliance with the Arcadis business management system.
  • Health & Safety Management.
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • B.E / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University.
  • 12 to 15 years of experience in the design of electrical systems associated with the water and wastewater industries.
  • Managing selected projects or components of projects, taking responsibility for quality assurance and client feedback, and ensuring effective communication of any changes/modifications.
  • Providing technical advice to project team members.
  • Reviewing and ensuring compliance in the components of the project for which you are responsible, including drawings, reports, specifications, and studies.
  • Working independently as well as with a team on various projects in line with client requirements.
  • Supervising the design team and ensuring the project is delivered with high quality within the program and budget.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients on projects.
  • Liaising with the Project Director or Manager and the client to keep informed of all developments associated with the project.
  • Assisting in developing team members to their full potential.
  • Being familiar with and compliant with relevant H & S regulations and promoting a culture of awareness within the team.

Required Competencies:

  • Sound technical knowledge, academically good.
  • Familiar with American standards, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and IEC standards.
  • Proven design experience; including concept, preliminary, detailed, and construction phases.
  • Conversant with ETAP, SKM Tools, Amtech, and DIALUX software.
  • A strong, self-motivated, and assertive person capable of working under pressure.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Flexible to adopt new work / challenge work as per business requirements.
  • Proven track records of consistently bringing work from the lead region.
