Vedanta Limited - Aluminium Business, a leading global player in the aluminium industry, is seeking an experienced Land Acquisition Expert to join our team. This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to work with a world-class organization and contribute to its growth journey.

We are rapidly scaling our efforts to become a fully integrated, global leader in aluminium production, offering a wide range of high-quality aluminium products.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring private land and resettling families following LARR Act and other applicable provisions for mining blocks. They will also alienate government land for coal and bauxite mining blocks, conduct due diligence on ownership documents, and negotiate prices with sellers. Additionally, they will coordinate with lawyers, appraisers, contractors, and other specialists to complete land acquisition deals, develop budgets and financial forecasts, and review legal documents.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of relevant experience in land acquisition and resettlement & rehabilitation (R&R)
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • Demonstrated leadership in land acquisition and R&R
  • Strong understanding of statutory clearances and relevant acts, regulations, and government guidelines
  • Acumen for external stakeholder engagement and strong drafting skills
