Purpose:

This role involves providing effective sourcing services from India for both local domestic and global client needs for the IT category.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

i) Relationship Management

  • Foster strong collaboration and ensure effective communication with key client stakeholders and colleagues in and across regions to deliver defined business goals.
  • Develop key client stakeholder matrices per category/location, maintaining regular engagement and driving high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Ensure appropriate supplier relationship management for assigned suppliers.
  • Act as a key contact person for India and other global locations on allocated categories and sourcing initiatives.

ii) Sourcing Planning

  • Perform spend and contract analysis to identify sourcing and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Work with clients and colleagues to define and implement commodity strategies and sourcing area plans for global locations, ensuring alignment with global and regional strategies.

iii) Management of Sourcing Initiatives

  • Lead and execute tactical and strategic sourcing projects in line with agreed timelines, processes, compliance, and quality.
  • Deliver allocated savings targets as assigned to categories and locations through the effective management of sourcing initiatives, with proper tracking and reporting of savings achievements.
  • Collaborate with Operations to drive adoption of Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) through sourcing initiatives and ongoing contract management.
  • Adhere to defined sourcing policies and processes.
  • Ensure a high level of ethics in supplier and/or client engagements.

Requirements:

i) Qualification

  • University degree (ideally in economics or Supply Management and/or Law) or industry experience equivalent.
  • Strong oral and written English skills (mandatory).

ii) Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience, ideally in an international environment.
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal) and interpersonal skills to positively influence people to make the appropriate decisions for clients and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Good competence in negotiations and contract knowledge with a strong ability to converse, negotiate with suppliers/clients, and review contracts in English.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Experienced in conducting tenders (RFI, RFP, RFQ).
  • Commodity sourcing experience in one or more of the following categories is highly advantageous: IT (Hardware, Software, Telecommunication, Data Centre), Professional Services, Facility Management, Corporate Services, Real Estate, Marketing, HR (Recruitment, Benefits, Payroll, Training), Outsourcing & Offshoring (ITO, BPO, KPO), Travel (Airlines, Hotels, Serviced Apartments, Travel Management Companies), Banking services (Market Data, Exchanges).

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 per annum
