Job Summary

The SAP and D&T Solution Architect at West Pharmaceutical Services plays a crucial role in supporting application validation and testing using automation to deliver and support D&T enabled business solutions. This role will also help support strategic direction, determine business needs, and design & deliver technical solutions for application testing using tools like Azure DevOps, HP ALM, UFT, etc. This role has primary accountability for working on testing solutions for our SAP, Digital Application, E-Commerce and other applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Possesses a good understanding of the overall vision and business needs and utilizes this knowledge to design and implement best-in-class testing solutions.
  • Utilizes knowledge of best practices to define strategic direction, determine business needs, and design & deliver application testing solutions, doing so in partnership with Application and Infrastructure.
  • Spearheads the testing needs and works with other application owners to drive the process.
  • With guidance, works on technical solutions that functionally meet defined business requirements.
  • Uses existing experience to solve complex problems. Provides system support and maintenance in alignment with standards and process set within the Services Delivery model, West policies and procedures, as well as Regulatory requirements, including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley and FDA GMP.
  • Creates and maintains system lifecycle documents in accordance with West policies and procedures, including creation and maintenance of SOPs, SOIs, and Job Aids.
  • Works within and participates in the Change Control process.
  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions, and all safety rules.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred but not required: Agile & Scrum Certification, ITIL.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Rich experience in designing, configuring testing solutions on HP ALM. Must have 4 to 5 years of experience in developing testing solutions and setup of HP ALM.
  • Experience in SAP implementation, auditing, or advisory in SAP testing, SAP Test automation, and validation needs. Must have 4 to 5 years of experience in SAP testing and Test automation.
  • Understanding of business processes, controls frameworks, compliances, and regulations for cGMP, SoX, etc.
  • End-to-end experience with rolling out test strategy for SAP & Digital Applications and develop a robust regression test strategy.
  • Ability to work in a virtual environment in a global organization and to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced & complex environment with a self-motivated work ethic; utilize sound judgment with an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target.

Physical and Travel Requirements

  • 15% travel, including global travel.
  • Occasional on-call work required.
  • Prefer 12 Noon – 9pm India time. Willingness to work outside of these hours as needed.
