Virtusa is seeking an experienced Senior Proposal Manager to join our team in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with extensive experience in leading and managing proposal development processes. As a Senior Proposal Manager, you will be responsible for producing high-quality proposals that effectively articulate Virtusa's value proposition and win themes.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, offerings, subject matter experts, and bid managers, to create compelling and competitive proposals. Your primary focus will be on large/mega deals, developing reusable assets, and managing knowledge bases.

Responsibilities
  • Lead proposal storyboarding sessions to identify win themes and message maps.
  • Create high-quality proposal documents that align with win themes and message maps, showcasing Virtusa's capabilities and value proposition.
  • Coordinate and manage proposal development activities, including content creation, editing, formatting, and quality assurance.
  • Facilitate key review meetings , coordinate proposal governance and sign-off.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, including response expectations outlined in RFx documents.
  • Collaborate with the Value/Knowledge Management team to develop reusable proposal content.
  • Drive continuous improvement in proposal development processes, tools, and templates to enhance efficiency, quality, and win rates.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in leading and managing proposal development processes , preferably in the IT services or consulting industry.
  • Proficiency in business communication , both written and oral, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into compelling and persuasive proposal content.
  • Experience in leading and managing complex proposals for global clients is preferred.
  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in a relevant field (MBA/PGDM is preferable) with at least 8+ years of relevant experience , including a minimum of 5 years in proposal writing roles.
  • Training/Certifications in proposal writing and messaging from programs such as Shipley/CVI or similar will be an added advantage.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is ₹12,00,000 - ₹15,00,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
