Lead Data Scientist

As a Lead Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in shaping our data strategy, guiding the team in extracting meaningful insights from large datasets, and ensuring the successful deployment of data-driven solutions to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the organization's objectives.
  • Identify and prioritize data science opportunities that drive business value.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of advanced analytics and machine learning models.
  • Establish and enforce data governance practices to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data used in analytics.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into data science initiatives.
  • Work closely with IT and business leaders to integrate data science solutions into existing business processes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data science and analytics.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of data science initiatives.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of data science solutions.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience 5-6 years leading and managing data science teams.
  • Strong expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data analytics.
  • Excellent programming skills in languages such as Python or R.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing data science solutions that drive business impact.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards related to data.
