This role requires a skilled professional with expertise in mortgage underwriting, risk assessment, and property evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:- Reviewing and screening mortgage applications to understand customer needs, ensuring correct packaging requirements are set.
- Applying a holistic approach by anticipating the need of the underwriter, assessing risk, and interpreting lending policy to ensure cases meet packaging guidelines.
- Working efficiently, meeting and exceeding set service level agreements (SLAs) at each touchpoint.
- Managing mortgage documents and supporting information, assessing and validating documents to ensure they meet regulatory guidelines.
- Ensuring case management through relevant systems, maintaining accurate customer records and using third-party websites and systems as needed.
- Reviewing and assessing key mortgage documents, including income evidence, credit reports, and property valuations.
- Undertaking customer due diligence through document assessment and validation, protecting customers and the organization by adhering to anti-money laundering policies and fraud prevention processes.
- Maintaining technical system knowledge of mortgage origination systems and delivering against service KPIs, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness targets are met.
