As a Java Backend Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the backend development team, driving the architecture and development of robust and scalable Java-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of front-end technologies, a proven track record of working in startup environments, and experience mentoring and leading a team. Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance in the design and implementation of backend systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical roadmaps and ensure alignment with business goals Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team
  • Backend Development: Lead the development of scalable and maintainable Java-based backend systems Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of backend services
  • Mentoring and Team Development: Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and enforce best practices Lead by example with hands-on coding and problem-solving
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of backend services
  • Start-up Environment: Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, demonstrating adaptability and the ability to wear multiple hats when necessary Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture that values innovation, creativity, and a can-do attitude
