Microbiologist for Personal Care and Surface Innovation

As a microbiologist in our R&D team, you will play a key role in developing new products across personal care and surface care brands. Your primary responsibility will be to own the testing and decisions around substantiating antimicrobial claims for new projects.

You will work closely with our global team of microbiologists to drive data generation, analysis, and recommendations around antimicrobial performance of personal care and surface care innovations. This includes managing interactions with external labs and institutions while working on innovation projects.

We are looking for someone with experience in FMCG or cleaning and hygiene product manufacturing industry who has a hands-on experience of conducting antimicrobial performance evaluations using global standards like EN, ASTM, and ISO. You will excel in this role as you have a hunger to learn and are a self-starter with strong communication skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting New Product Development teams in substantiating antimicrobial claims for new projects
  • Independently planning and conducting experiments to evaluate the antimicrobial efficacy of prototype formulations, finished products as per global and internal standard methods
  • Contributing towards continuous improvement of R&D laboratory procedures and best practices
  • Maintaining lab records in compliance with Microbiology Laboratory and Global Quality standards
  • Liaising with external laboratories in a professional and productive manner to ensure delivery of results on time
